An NHL legend and perhaps the greatest Black Hawk. I've been a life long Rangers fan but I always cheered for Stan Mikita. Like Beliveau, besides his immense talent he seemed a gentleman who had time for everyone. When they named a donut shop for him on Wayne's World he had to be an all timer. RIP

yep, had to admire him no matter what team you were rooting for.
Nice summary of his career here: Blackhawks legend Stan Mikita dead at 78 | CBC Sports

In an era when the roster of a team seems to change from one week to the next as people get traded here and there, and it's not unseemly to ask of a high-profile player "Who does he play for now?", it's comforting to think about a guy who played with the same team for his entire NHL career.
A great player and a great man. Was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia which must be a hard way to go. RIP
85% face-off success, and made it look effortless.

R.I.P.
Ah, sad to hear. I remember him well. RIP and thank you.

Same thing Robin Williams had at the end.

Sad to hear he had this disease. What an incredible career.
This is amazing: "Mikita remains the only NHL player in history to win the Art Ross (scoring champion), Hart (MVP) and Lady Byng (sportsmanship) trophies in the same season, and he accomplished the feat in consecutive years in 1967 and 1968".
