We don't really have a DIY section here so I'll just post this here.

I've been working on some pedals... tell me what you think. Any and all comments appreciated.

I'm thinking of calling this one Triple Fuzz Sundae OR Triple Fuzz Sammich... can't decide. It's an octavia, silicon fuzz face, and germanium fuzz face.... the FF with the bigger transistors is the germanium.

The next one is a wah I built. The parts and board came from a guy on another forum. It was painted by myself (red base coat , misted with black spray paint) and the board was decorated by my GF cause she thought it was too plain.... and she was bored. It has a halo inductor, polystyrene caps, and tropical fish caps. Soon I'll be adding a switch to choose between different "Q" resistors, and a pot as well.

I also have a tremolo in the works, which I will share as well.... when I'm done of course. Once again, any and all comments appreciated... good or bad, tell me what you think. Thanks for your time.

I never been able to successfully upload clips... they work fine on my PC, but for some odd reason they just never work when I upload them... I'll see if my brother can fix it when he gets back from Uni. he's good with computers so he'll probably find the problem.

The trem (like the 3 fuzzes) will be built using instructions, and boards from general guitar gadgets... it's the EA trem version BTW, the board is already populated and ready to go, I just need to wait for some parts to come in the mail.... right now I'm on a stand still with it.

Those are the germanium transistors.... IDK, I just didn't want to trim them too short. I'm sure it won't cause any problems or anything.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Here's the tremolo.... not as pretty or professional looking as the other ones. I wanted to keep the cost down on this one since it was already on it's way of being my cheapest build.... all in all I think it's pretty good for a $30 build.

The enclosure was an old PC CD rom case that I cut and hammered into a smaller box (with the guidance and help of my dad... he used to be a welder and has some experience with sheet metal. I think it looks fine, but my dad said he could have done a better job if he wasn't 66 yrs old... he's such a perfectionist )

Had to take this one without flash because of the glare. The writing was done with sharpies, and the white part was done with a "paint pen".

It sounds great. Nice and smooth and quite versatile as well.... it can get a little choppy, but not as much as I wanted... or expected rather. Maybe I can find a mod for that .... But I've already came up with some pretty cool riffs and tunes with it, so I likey alot.None

Thanks for looking

I liked the Ge a lot more, but since I replaced the Si transistors with lower gain ones (was using BC109C's with Hfe at about 500 and up, now I have 2N2222 which are around 190 Hfe IIRC... I'm just not a high gain type of guy I guess... way too harsh and lifeless IMO) I like them both equally, but I lean just a little more towards the GE's still... sounds smoother, fuller, and it compliments the Octavia very well because of the harmonics it produces turned up... but they're both great sounding IMO

I have no idea where you could get one made... probably be best to make it yourself. SB sells a kit but you'd have to find your own supply of Ferric Chloride or other etchant since they can't bring that over the border.

Thanks again for the comliments.

EDIT: thanks sh333.... BTW the transistors are actually BC107's... just looked inside today... and they're in the mid/low 300 Hfe.
