I have a 56 gretsch duo jet with original s/coil dynosonics, made by d'armond.
fantistic pups , but hum was definately a problem.
solution---
removed the capacitors and installed BILL LAWRENCE tone cubes .
PROBLEM SOLVED

I hope this can help some of you guys that have hum problems.

another advantage is that you can use an extra long guitar cable.

i wonder what the downsides are...
