I have a Charger 290 and have been craving one of the set-neck models.

From my experience with the Charger I'd have no hesitation recommending any Reverend guitar. They are amazing instruments.

I see it as more of different take on the SG style. The body is thicker. Actually more like an LP Special DC, but with an SG shape and colour. It's 7 3/4 lbs. and 1 3/4 inches thick.

Ya I agree. I like how it's 'beefier' looking. It's a great design.

I have something similar in the Roxbury line but its singlecut. It has a little of that LP special single cut feel with some SG styling.

Ooooooo. Nice. But from practical point of view, I tend to hook my thumb over the neck (bad habit withstanding) and I find I like DCs better that way, and for the upper fret access.

That SC with SG styling is nice though. Looks great in cherry.

This is what I'm talking about - this in a double cut would be more to my liking.

I have a similar issue with the flat-top LP's & Godins (et al), by the way. Too plank-ish. It just needs a little more character IMO. That's why I tossed some extra coin & got a Godin LG sig instead of the flat top version. Not saying these aren't nice looking guitars...just a little too plank-ish for my taste.

If that Reverend had a bit of an arched top I'd be all over it, by the way.

I checked with CAPSULE MUSIC. I can get a Daredevil HB for around $600-625 depending on the dollar - plus a few $$ for a gig bag. He'll be getting three set necks in about a week or so. One will be Warhawk II HB. I'll give that a try and see if I want the DD HB or not.

What set necks are the expecting? They still have 2 Chargers and a CK. Played the charger yesterday.
The Warhawk II HB, a Volcano and,,,, I forget the last one. They'll also have some more bolt necks in about 2-3 weeks.
