Seymour Duncan on Jeff Beck's Esquire

I'm fairly certain that in 1966/67 I saw a picture, in Hit Parader, of Jeff playing a Tele with a humbucker in the bridge position. To my young eyes it appeared Jeff had installed two Tele pickups, side by side, in the bridge position. Up to that point in my sheltered life I had never seen a humbucker without a cover.
Also in one of the mid 60's Hit Parader magazines I saw a letter to the editor written by someone named M Hammer from Ottawa.
