Here is a very cool little amp that I've owned a few times in my circle of gear buying and trading. I have some studio expenses to cover, so it's now up for sale again.
This is a really great sounding very unique all hand wired 1x12" combo for sale, based on a 1950's Fender Harvard amp.
Designed and built by the late David Root (a regular at AmpGarage.com), this amp is based around (still readily available) 7 pin vintage NOS tubes (6AQ5 and 6AT6), with a switch for negative feedback on or off. With the NF switch on, the tone is very vintage Fender, in the brown or blackface camp, warm, smooth and more spongy/loose (similar in tone to a vintage '62 Brown Fender Princeton that I had). With the NF switch off, it takes on a more upfront, tighter tone, more in the tweed camp. Great for blues, country, rock, etc. It also has a great overdrive tone when cranked up past 4, or used with an attenuator. It is also a fantastic pedal platform, and takes pedals very well. There's a 3-way switch on the back which alters the instrument input impedence slightly, which can be useful for different pickups.
This amp is very quiet when idle, and just an extremely cool sounding small lightweight combo. Perfect for gigs and jams, or bedroom level practice. This is a one of a kind amp. I'd like this to go to someone who will give it a good home. I own several Root amps, and they are all very well built and sound great.
Asking SOLD EMT incl. shipping/insurance via Canada Post Expedited from Vancouver. The amp will be well packed, with tubes labelled and packed separately.
