RIP Ronnie Prophet Canadian country signer at age 80. He had a show back in the 70,s i believe. Very popular entertainer.

Just heard on the radio. My first thought was "Marcos is gonna want to know about this". I always thought of him as a sort of Canadian Marty Stuart. Probably not accurate, but that was my impression. Here's him slinging a Bill Lawrence-equipped Strat, and doing his best Chet Atkins impression.

I saw him live a couple of times. That boy could play guitar.

He actually was a personal friend of Doug Champagne whom i have the pleasure of playing with in the Ottawa area. He told me some great stories about him, great entertainer musician.
