Hi! I read lots of people saying the Roland Cubes are great solid state amps for its tone and convenience. Before I track one down, I just want to confirm if the 60 watt model will be loud enough to hear when rehearsing/jamming with a loud rock band/drummer? I heard their sound breaks down when pushed to the max, so I want to avoid that, and wondering if I need the 80 watt... Anyone have experience with this and want to share? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Jonny.
Rolands have a great rep from what I heard.
60 watts SS is fine for jamming.
I was fine with a 25w Traynor 1/4 horse and it was almost maxed out.

It was my main amp for years. The trick I found was to have the volume high but the gain as low as possible on the dirt side. The clean channel takes pedals really well.

Yesterday I came across a Cube 60 Bass amp on FB Marketplace for $75.
It was sold when I contacted the seller.

I gigged one for a few years in the 80's. Mind you not a hard rock band but full drums, bass ,guitar and keys so it was loud enough. Not sure it could cut through for a hard rock or metal group though.
