Hussey Jack | lifenews.ca
HUSSEY, Jack Jack Hussey, at age 58, from Neuroendocrine cancer. Facing his prognosis Jack said "at least it's not a kid". Jack grew up roaming Barrie, which left him with many tales. Later he headed out west and spent time in Alberta and the High Arctic, settling in Hay River for several years. He graduated from Georgian College as a Civil Engineering Technician and worked on area infrastructure. He was rarely without a guitar in his hands, a song on his lips and that hat on his head. He had a true gift for music. Many knew Jack for his extensive knowledge of vintage guitars, amps, Hammond organs and Leslies. He was at once spirited and easy-going, quick to laugh at himself and could see things in ways no one had thought of. Jack and Gail loved well, with much laughter for 30 years. He was proud of his daughters Annie (Toronto) and Kristina (Midland). He was loved by his mother Yvonne, siblings Rory, Wendy and Bonnie (Barrie and Bracebridge), father Fred, siblings Marty, Sue and Derek (Cambridge area) and Kim (PEI) in addition to his many wonderful nieces and nephews. An informal drop-in will be held 1 p.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, February 17, at Eady Community Hall, 73 Eady Station Road, Coldwater area. Please join the family in remembering a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Memorial donations to CNETS (Neuroendocrine cancer research), RVH or Georgian College student scholarships. "Sing us a song Jack."
