I suppose everyone for whom the film Animal House was a landmark in their lives has a favourite moment or line/scene in the film. For me, I always wait for, and relish, Stephen Furst's brief utterance as he watches the chaos created by the crew at Delta Tau Chi during the big parade at the end. In just a few seconds, he so perfectly captures that pee-in-your-pants excitement of a 5-year old that one would think a college student would have to say goodbye to forever in order to be cool. It's a moment of emotional reclamation, as if to declare "Adulthood be damned, I am allowed to feel this way once in a while". He's just so happy.
He's had other roles since then, but I will always be thankful to him for those 4 seconds.
