I have one of these and the 660 is one of the very few models to come with the vintage Toaster pickups. Other than some reissues and signature models, it’s pretty much just the high-gain singles now.

They certainly have that “Rickenbacker sound” but they’re not a one-trick pony. You can use them for pretty much anything other than metal (and to be honest, I haven’t tried them with metal so I’m just assuming).
