Another vote for the Mesa 50/50.

Huge fat sound. Runs nice and cool. 2 rack spaces. I used one for about 10years. Never once failed. Replaced the tubes once in 10 years. Sold it last year.

They seem to bring about $500-600 used.

The Classic 50/50 is a Peavey if I'm not mistaken.


I had one. It wasn't bad.

+1 - I'm actually using a 2:90 and it's insanely loud, I always use it on "half dive" and I'm seriously thinking on getting a 50/50.

I just love Mesa but Peavey is a serious contender. Also cheaper.
