Correct Sound tube+beta:
I asked my pals at L&M South what was new and interesting, and none of them had tried this out yet. Ran it through a Fender HRD (I think) with a Gibson SG.
First impressions: the tube side is very warm, for lack of a better description. With the drive down its a nice subtle crunch, and diming it gets into vintage dimed amp territory. The Beta side doesn't have any low end until the bass knob is pretty much maxed out. If you want grind without high gain, this is it. Blending both channels is cool.
I'd also like to note that unity on the master volume is at "2" (and it stops rotating after 9). I was told that someone brought it in having ordered it brand new from Russia. It's dated as 02/2015, made in Russia.
It also takes 12V AC and comes with a power supply.
I will be trying it through my rig (guitar-JCM800 2203-Orange PPC412) and our bass rig (Traynor SS Bass head, loaner 410, MIM P bass). I will report the findings.
