Folkway Music in Guelph had a %20 off sale, so I went and checked out some acoustics. I only had about a $700 budget, so the %20 off helped.

I ended up getting a Taylor 110. I don't know a ton about acoustics, and very little about Taylors. I just picked up everything in the price range and tried it. It just seemed to beat everything else hands down. The Taylor have a pretty unique tone, and seem to really project. I am assuming it's to do with the some of the construction traits on them.

Anyway, it's nothing fancy but it sure sounds great.

Good for you...its always nice to get a new guitar in the house. A Taylor 310 is a great choice! You are right in that they do have a really unique sound signature...instantly recognizeable. Besides all that, don't you just love that new guitar smell?
