That's a nice hunk of wood. The upper bass bout a little less so than the flame on the treble bout, but generally very nice. Did you need to treat the top in any way before applying the stain?

No, the body comes sanded to a 600 grit, from that I just applied a waterbase dye

Congratulations on the build so far.

I saw the picture scroll by, and had to come back to read... because this looked exactly like one of my ‘Heritage’ guitars. If your own build is looking anything like handbuilds from old pros in Kalamazoo, that’s success!

Very impressive, and damn I need more free time to try this.
