PM is playing his "Pikassa" 42 string built by Linda Manzer of Toronto. It used to have a third neck that was too close to his chin, so it got chopped and replaced with the current tuning pins.

Linda has built several acoustic guitars for PM. If you listen to his brilliant albums "Imaginary Day" or "One Quiet Night" you will hear mostly her instruments, including a fretless nylon string.
