Very similar to the recent guy from Nepean selling the modded 60s Melody Maker SG,

This guy has been posting vintage guitars everyday for "great deals" with each one having way different pictures than the last.

Guy doesn't answer when offered to pick up (surprise)

Kijiji profile was made 2 months ago. All warning signs.

2 days ago it was a 71 SG-100 and a 60s danelectro, yesterday it was an 83' tele for $1100 and today it's these...

I just looked at his profile and his first review is from Gill Bellows 4 weeks ago. Gill Bellows was the user name of the scammer on that Melody Maker, so I think it’s safe to say that any of the users you see listed in both this guy’s profile and Gill Bellows profile are part of the scammer’s attempt to build his legend, and should be avoided.

I messaged the guy who replied to our thread on the Melody Maker scan saying he had been scammed, and asked how it went down, but never heard back,

That guy tried to “purchase” a guitar from me. The scam he did was that the etransfer was reversed, meaning if I wasn’t careful, it would’ve sent money from me to him! Avoid at all cost (pun intended)

I have been speaking to kijiji and police etc all morning and his new kijiji fake alias of Avery Emmerson has been frozen by kijiji

Kijiji has never removed a listing in the 15 years I’ve been using it. They don’t care.

The problem is that kijiji needs credible cause to remove ads. They have removed dozens of ads upon my report for many reasons over the years

So that account is interesting as a bunch of the reviews are from the Ottawa area, if you go poking around in there you’ll notice a bunch of dead accounts with reviews from dead accounts. In the Ottawa area.

I bet this guy has been at it for many years. If the RCMP had a subpoena for every kijiji report of this M.O., there would be dozens if not hundreds of victims!!
I am not gonna give this up. I will keep going up the chain until this can happen. It would be great to get my $$ back but even better to also get EVERYBODY’S $$ back AND have this guy behind bars!!!
