This kind of guitar hero stuff drives me nuts. How people can enjoy it is beyond me. Yeah- I really want to hear Steve Vai's take on the blues. Haha.

I know what you mean.......this stuff is starting to become like a big snooze to me........thats why I started to venture into jazz a few years ago. You have to think when you play instead of mindless finger mechanics whizzing up and down the fretboard in search of a melody.
But I am guilty of playing and listening to stuff like this............
sometimes its just fun to wank away.
