I have an old tube amp. it looks homemade.
i eventually want to have it checked by a tech.(tubes start with 6's)
here's my questions, just out of curiosity.

it has a mike jack, that looks like a later addition.
it has 2 guitar imput jacks, and 2 corresponding pots, 0 to 10 (chicken heads)
it has a brilliance pot, and it has a tone pot.(both 0 to 10)
can anyone figure out how the controls might work, especially for the mike? I have plugged in the amp, and it reproduces sound,(turned it off right away) but until I have it looked at i don't want to mess around with it.

I dropped my last tube amp off at L&M at the counter and do not have any contact with their tech (Kitchener/Waterloo) (haven't heard back, they? have had since nov.14/06)

cheers

the difference between taking it to L&M in kitchener and taking it to Sherwood is that Rich only picks up from L&M once a week. He does repairs for most of the shops in southern and central ontario. 10-5 monday to friday he is at sherwood. you can call there and use his extension or look in the yellow pages under "amplifiers plus"
