Very Nice looking amp! Very strange tubes though, like you said. I'll have to do some research on all of those funny numbers.

You can yell at me and my family as long as you show up with cash when I'm selling.
Lol... we have professional Ass holes here on the board that are able to determine from a distance without knowing you if you are one ! Apparently these specialist`s were able to determine that I was like them!!! ;) Isnt life wonderful... I get free bullshit treatment here !!! :giggle:

But how does it sound?
Need to inspect and fix a few things prior to lighting it up. The amp hasn't worked in years so once I replace the fuse holder and install pegs to secure the boards, will put on my variac and light it up...

These old amps usually need a few repairs...

Found info on the net :

Precision Electronics S-60 Monster High gain Head
This is a Grommes manufactured, Dual Channel, 60 Watt, Fixed Bias, solid state rectified, LOUD Rock Machine. The amp can be cranked to Earth Shaking volume, with enough gain to shame a plexi.

The S-60 is the model that I have.

That OA2 tube is a voltage regulator, quite uncommon in PA and guitar amps. I doubt you would have anything else with a regulator tube (unless you have Leslie amps).
They usually have very nice colour glow.
Nice score (for an a-hole ;) ).

My Bogen 1950’s pa head was like that. Moratto turned it into a killer amp. Got wrecked in a flood.
I replaced it with a Moratto Matchless replica. Amazing amp!!! I’ll have to do a nad thread soon

Very cool. Reminds me of an old Bogen amp that a band mate used to power our PA.

Is there a cure for assholery? Asking for a friend.
