What would you consider the most likely source of aperiodic noise bursts, (sounding like an old AM radio during lightning storm)? This is coming from a Supersonic 22.
The amp is not extremely old, so its resistors and caps are of current technology, correct?
I’m confident that it is the result of the old arch-enemy of tube amps - heat, but what is being effected
I thought I would post this before I open it up and probe it down the line, as the noise bursts are not very frequent. Thanks

My sump pump is on the same circuit as my amps. When it kicks in, you can hear an electrical "surge" through the amps. Move to another plug in another room and see if the noises persist. Take the amp out of the house: a friend's place or a rehearsal room.
