Interesting story. Loved Nils Lofgren for years. Must have about 8 albums of his, including Crazy Horse, Grin, and his later solo stuff. He's a great player, but as this clip aptly illustrates, he's a great bandmate.

I remember in the book 'Shakey' where Nils talks about first coming to LA and staying at David Briggs' house and getting an introduction to the lifestyle.

Yeah, "Keep on Rockin in the Free World" was the drummer's line but took awhile before he saw a dime.
