So, I finally screwed up enough courage to step out of my living room and into a community hall this evening. I went to the Northern Alberta Bluegrass Circle Society weekly jam session at the Pleasantview Community hall. You got to figure with a name like Pleasantview this would be one scary place. Au contraire, mon frer! Nice folks and good times.
There were some really good players and a couple of terrific singers in attendance. This is a place I can learn from others, work on my melody flatpicking and ad-lib soloing. I will definitely be going back, and will try to make this part of my weekly routine.
