So, this followed me home the other day...

It’s got Duncan Designed pickups, and that funky switching system is pretty neat. I used to find 24” scales too short, and the string spacing overly tight, but this one feels comfy. I just need to source the correct trem arm for it. That’s three offset Squiers I have now.

Doesn't a 24" scale effectively work out to being really similar to a 25.5" scale minus fret 1? Looks cool, I miss having my short scale handy to play.

Nice. I had an original in the 60s/70s in those colours

Only supreme willpower has kept me from buying an example of each ofnthose Squier offsets over the years. I've played a few pigs but a couple a Jags (and lots of Mustangs) that were lovely. Enjoy!

Very versatile guitar to my ears. Good stock, but also a decent platform for mods.

(I had a Mustang bass once upon a time, and it too punched higher than its weight.)

Pretty much. It’s nice having a bit more stretch on the first few frets.
Honestly, I had never noticed the difference being too significant. I used to be fixated on 24" guitars but gradually stopped caring too much since there's not many options for 24s.
