As I mentioned in another thread, we have a local builder who is honing his craft. He started with kit guitars and doing the finish work on them. He's working his way up to doing full builds as a hobby business. He gave a few of us a guitar to show off and give him feedback.

He's currently working on a nice red strat to donate as a prize for a local open mic, so we brought ours out to promote the contest.

Mine is one of the first he built, so it's not perfect but it plays nice and sounds good. It's a basswood bodied thinline tele with a stained maple on maple neck. 2 humbuckers, 1 volume and 1 tone. I'm blown away with how good it sounds in the middle position. It's almost Strat like.
