Just picked this up today after seeing it yesterday and walking away. It was a good price but I already have a 50’s Strat. Went home and couldn’t stop thinking about, had dreams about it even. Called first thing as soon as they opened and asked to put it on hold until I got there. Can’t go wrong with 2 similar fat neck Strats!

That’s why I walked away, if that was a 52 tele I wouldn’t have second guessed. I’m glad I went back in for this one though. Someone switched out the volume pot and swapped a few of the knobs out though, not sure why.

It’s the best vintage reissue or vintage correct fender I’ve had so far. It even has the phone book fender capacitor and pencil like date on the neck like they used to do.

Love the Strat! You know it’s worth buying if you can’t stop thinking about it.

Is that a 953 in the background of the first pic?

I have had 2 of these strats . One is a keeper for life and I gig it regularly . The other was almost brand new so I let it go ...reluctantly .

The one I do have is starting to wear nice .

Amazing tones and very “Strat” sounding. It’s literally my dream strat and not sure I have played a better one EVER.

Great pickup and it was priced so well at L & M. I was tempted .

Yes I know what you mean. I’ve had so many Strats over the years, regretted a few leaving my hands but always had a Strat or 2 kicking around.

I was very interested in the latest reissue fenders having the actual flash coat lacquer(without the thick polyurethane under coat) and actual vintage spec features. Just the price new I couldn’t pay that.

After having this for a few days now and really looking it over I see why the are priced right up there with the custom shop stuff. This was a killer deal from L&M, below half price so I had to grab it.
