I was at the local landfill site a few months ago and saw an item which looked like an old tweed suitcase,as i picked it up i noticed that it was in two sections, the amplifier side and the speaker side.It turned out to be an old style school P.A. system with the turntable built in to the Amplifier section, remember those old things the teacher used to play records on ?? Anyway this is not a very big rig but does it ever sound sweet OR clean! or with a distortion pedal.I'd like to get some info on this thing,,,,,It's a Model TR-1640-M, it has a 15 inch speaker in a separate cab,and the built in turntable on top of the amp,I have since removed the turntable,(,but it just plugs in) and easy to remove,It has 2 el-84's,5Y3GT,6AV6,12AX7,6AN8. And it has HUM Balance ? what is that ? Does this have any potential? Like i said , it sounds awsome clean, and with a stompbox or two ! P.S. The Amp is a NEWCOMB Model TR-1640-M .
