I had this combo before but I had to break up the speaker combination so
I recently got another Eminence C Rex and the happy couple are back together again.
Fair warning...this speaker combination is not capable of producing a piercing note.
Mellow is the game and hemp is my name.
And I didnt even have to wait till November.

I bought one for my Princeton Reverb clone in an attempt to tame the high end with my Teles. Haven't put it in yet.

I think the C rex will help BUT it will not be a miracle cure for the tele.
Work the tone control on the tele and it will help a lot or get an amp that makes any tele sound like a jazz box.
like this one.

@GTmaker Any idea as to the music theory significance of the chords in the "P" of the logo on the amp?

Good question Dave
when I see that notation , I think of a chord.
First one its a C7 with an F# bass and the other I see a C7 with a D bass..
When I play those chords, they sound like a typical jazz chord.
As to the significance of why those chords.....beats the hell out of me.

I know this may be a stretch BUT....

a Polychord sounds best on a Polytone amp.

Unfortunately, whenever I play through any of the Polytone Brute series, I sound brutal.

Funny, I just bought a Patriot series for my cheap little Peavey Bandit. I got the Texas Heat. Really good build quality and it does change the sound of the amp. Very pleased. Now, what to do with the old Peavery 120W speaker.

Doesn't seem to matter what I play through.

Maybe that is just around the corner, over the horizon, waiting patiently, yet to be discovered for you
You try so many amps that surely, one day, one has to sound great. Correct?
