A while back I picked up a tube of this BONDIC plastic repair from Canadian Tire to try it out.

It works on the same principle as modern dental fillings -- the liquid resin is cured with ultraviolet light in only a few seconds.

I've found it to be ideal for smaller repairs. Pickup rings, pick guards, eyeglasses etc. One can also build up material to replace missing chunks of plastic (just do it one layer at a time) and it can be filed/shaped/painted to fit.

Unlike epoxy, any resin that hasn't been cured can simply be wiped off.

The tube was about $13 on sale
