I don't know if the new package HAS true bypass switching, or merely looks like it does. But it is clear that Danelectro succumbed to the pressure to implement some sort of stompswitch.

The rotating speaker simulator sounds pretty good.

Can't say they really do anything for me.

I have some of the older Dano mini pedals though....the ones that were named after food.

The rotating-speaker box is a bit of a new twist for them. Sounds a little more authentic than their older Rocky Road pedal, that also had ramp-up/down. The role of the "Treble" control has not been illustrated in any of the samples I've heard so far. The new Big Spender pedal doesn't seem to allow the user to select ramp speed, the way that the Rocky Road did.

As for the other pedals in the series, nothing there that particularly stands out. I suspect they will add to the series, though. One thing you can count on from Danelectro - if they are going to redesign the form factor, they are going to milk it.
