A long time ago! 1971 to be exact but I moved when I was about 2 months old. My dad worked at Chalk River and then got transferred to Bruce in Kincardine. My older siblings remember Deep River but I obviously don't.

Deep River, nice! My dad and uncle were raised there, and my grandparents, great-uncle and -aunt, my dad's cousin and his family all live there.
Do you know any of the Nicks family? We've probably met each other even, I used to go there every summer.

I live just outside of Kinburn, but spend pretty much all my time in arnprior.
I used to live in Arnprior. My brother lives just outside of Pakenham, he does a lot of gigging in the area. I haven't been to Arnprior for some time though I really must make a road trip up that way pretty soon. Last time I was up that way I went to to see a fellow named Brock Zeman (sp) in Perth It was a good performance.

Hey Budda: just noticed your post here; been spending time in other sections of the forum.
I spent a year in Deep while training with Ont Hydro in the 70's.
You might want to try and locate a friend of mine, Pat Sullivan. I'm guessing he's in Chalk River, but not sure. Pat is a great guy to play guitar with. Don't imagine he participates in this forum. He's got a great sense of humour, umpteen songs to play and sing to; he's quite a character. If you find him, tell him Andy sent you. I met Pat when he lived in Kincardine and I lived in Port Elgin. We worked together at O.H training centre at the Bruce site for several years. He'll know who I am.
Welcome aboard to the forum.

and i thought no one would know where i live haha
In the 80s there was a hotel by the highway that I used to gig at every few months in Deep River. The band always looked forward to it because Deep River was a friendly party town back then. I haven't been back in years. :(
