So far I think it's awesome...really solid feeling, nice construction and detail. Playability is excellent and tone is warm and fat with excellent sustain. Stock pickups are quite good, lots of harmonics and plenty of output. All the hardware is top notch. Compares very favorably with my Musicman JP7.

Wow! Awsome! I really love the headstock! Did you use is for nu metal or jazz style??
I was really impressed the first time is see a jazz guitarist with a 7! Not because it supposed to be for metal or something like that but the sound and possibility are incredible!

Very nice guitar. What exactly are the fret markers - are they of anything in particular (they're hard to make out)? Also, have/are you considering dropping in any new pickups?

They're clocks that mark the fret number with the time - pretty cool looking actually and kind of a Caparison trademark. The inlay work is well done.

I got is used from a guy in the US but they don't really have any dealers stateside. If you where to get one new ordering from Japan would be much cheaper then the one US dealer. Or there's usually a couple on Ebay too.

The stock pickups are actually really good, I was just trying it out with my amp cranked yesterday. They are made in house by Caparison for the guitars. I might experiment down the road but for now they are just fine.
