New Gibson Double cut

Not my thing, looks-wise. At all.

Wonder how it plays and sounds though. Not that I'd ever really want to part with any amount of cash to own that.

I don't think its awful (other than the colour) but aren't they just re-inventing the wheel? I don't see anything really innovative here, more like they are trying to appeal to the PRS crowd...but, I have been wrong before

i would go there, especially in a nice, dark, red color. but i agree it does look like they want to make a prs

Any pictures of the back? The heel on the LP is the part I have a problem with. If this one has a heel more like an LP Axcess. it would have even more appeal for me.

I like them, too rich for my blood new though.

You'd think that they'd have taken a different avenue, pickup wise.
Even a HB + P90 combo, HSS, or something other than what's on a lot of their existing lineup.

I agree.
Should have done something with single coils.
HSS or P90/S/S

Would be nice to have a different choice.

Also It looks like the body of a MIII with a LP neck stuck on it. But at least from the pictures of the neck posted here it has some sort of volute reinforcing the headstock tilt. So they at least addressed that little problem.
