Picked up this amp on ebay yesterday, it was being sold from Kitchener so the seller may just be a forumite. It's a 60's Made in Kalamazoo USA Epiphone Pacemaker . Waiting for it to arrive so it can be checked out. Here's a couple picks.

You best come play my champ then, Pete.

I'd like to try it sometime. Just to clarify... I have never played a tweed champ (original or clone). I've just never heard a SF or BF one that sounded very good.

You are right about the SF and BF ones, they don't turn my crank either.

My champ has been put in a larger tweed princeton cab with a 10A125. I tuned the circuit to brighten it up a bit as well. Sounds much bigger and better, but still gets nasty.

Put it back together, add two JJ EL84's and a JJ 12AX7 and plug it in
Tube tone for sure, at about 2/3 O'clock lovely breakup. I can see why this would be used in a studio. Don't know about the speaker though ?? never seen a red one in those days even the cone is red ... any ideas.
