I own a traynor ycv 40 i would like to change the tubes something hotter please need help!!:bow:

Need a bit more info. You want more preamp gain/distortion, more output tube distortion or more volume?

volume is ok i would like a bit more growl

I'd swap out the V1 and V2 for higher gain short plates, JJ or Tung Sol 12AX7 would be good. Phase splitter (V3) i'd use the same but get a "matched" one. Output tubes I'd do JJ 6L6's.

That said, you may need a boost or OD to get more dirt, the YCV will only do so much. Changing tubes will only add a bit.

what guitar do you use? my les paul gets me growl from everything, its sweet .

I've ordered from them once. I probably won't order again. I didn't like the response I got when I called them to let them know that my order had never arrived.
