I own a traynor ycv 40 i would like to change the tubes something hotter please need help!!:bow:

I'd swap out the V1 and V2 for higher gain short plates, JJ or Tung Sol 12AX7 would be good. Phase splitter (V3) i'd use the same but get a "matched" one. Output tubes I'd do JJ 6L6's.

That said, you may need a boost or OD to get more dirt, the YCV will only do so much. Changing tubes will only add a bit.

you could also try biasing it, i think.

what guitar do you use? my les paul gets me growl from everything, its sweet :D.

im more of a forumite over at guitarists.net myself, but this place rocks cuz i know everyone's canadian.. and STILL not local haha
