I just turned 50 last month, bought an Epiphone valve jr head with a 1X12cab, picked up a Epiphone Les Paul Custom Plus and started teaching myself some CCR.
Having a blast.
I/m sure I'll have a few question along the way but I really enjoy reading and gathering info from the many great post.

Right on, good for you! Just play that CCR the way it was meant to be played, no weedly solos in the middle of "Born On The Bayou"!

(One of my great pet peeves in life - people mangling CCR tunes by soloing like EVH for some ungodly reason.)

I quit for 30 years and started again in the spring of 2005. Almost like starting over. Welcome to the forum.

P.S. how much was the epi head and cab?
