Saturn Guitar - has seen better days - damage to the neck & back

That Stew Mac set has most of what you'll need though I prefer a longer levelling beam to the 6" file they include. In addition you'll need something to radius the fretwire to match your neck radius (or buy pre-radiused/pre cut frets) and a beveling file is much easier and consistent for beveling the ends of the frets than doing each one individually. As well a soldering iron comes in handy for releasing glued in frets.
Definitely do some practice refrets on necks you don't care about before tackling something you do.
Will work fine. This may not work , you need tool to press in slot
There are tools like fret press .You are right.
Good AND right tools are a must to start. And lots of practice.
How (and with what) are you going to press the freights onto the freight board? That's one of the biggest challenges.

What guitar are you talking about ? " I got an old guitar that could use new frets."
I've used the StewMac "Jaws" fret press extensively. I still prefer the traditional method. There are tools like fret press .
