Out went Geddy, in came a well played older L2K to ride shotgun for alternate tunings, tuned to D standard and drop C. Thanks @Icebox for driving up from Cowtown to do this, excellent gentleman and player (he’s a full time pro). I hope your hockey team loses tonight. :cool:

Few more better shots. I was aware of the crack in the fretboard, you can’t feel or hear it even when pounding on the bass, which is a lot of how I play. And I’d seen pictures. It’s not as just absolutely precise playing as the new one, but that’s a lacquered fretboard with new frets. Still, the old one plays faster, great shape, warn in softness, super slick old gloss on the back...yeah, this will work.
