Found a "strat" I like. Seller says it's all ordered parts from fender. It could be an import knockoff for all I can tell. Either way its priced ok and i already have different pickups and switches to swap into it no matter that it is. But, he says the body is mahogany. I'm not so sure. What do you think it is?

Sorry if I did the obvious (re: the search) ...not intended to offend.

Hope someone here comments as there are many knowledgeable GC members.

Nice looking guitar! ....whatever the wood it is made from.

You need to take the pick guard off and show us a pic of the bare wood.

Ooo! I didn't think of that possibility. Thanks
Oh but it's very possible....and sexy....and a complete les paul killer! This one belongs to a good friend of mine. I used it for a few months a couple of years ago. It's loaded with pups from a '64 or '65 strat.

Yeah a friend of mine bought that in '76 from a store in Toronto after a refinish to his strat didn't work out so well. All electronics and hardware are from his '64 or '65 strat. It's an animal and definitely the finest strat I've ever played.
