I was able to grab a holy grail amp (for me) that wouldn't out me outta pocket, so I jumped on it.

1973 JMP 50 1987 model.

The nice thing is that its had a couple of mods (non invasive PPIMV and a 'one wire' mod), so if I get the urge to add Friedman's kitchen sink mod, I won't feel so bad.

I'm also going to get Derrick Bell to repair the tolex (it's completely missing from the top) through Morratto.

This clip was made by the previous owner for me.

I saw a '77 JMP 87 in CME today, just sitting on the floor. $2KUSD. I did not try it.

Sadly I didn't find out if they had the Dr. Z Surgical Steel in stock :(

Sounds great! Which power tubes does it use? Is it a pair or a quad?

I hope you were making rock faces while you recorded, like the dude in the video...

It uses a couple of el34s.

That was the previous owner's clips and I bet he was making some solid faces.
