Why do I feel that I now have to learn that tune. My Scottish background is calling. Super job by that young guy! He's gonna be a goodun.

Nothing to do with Scotland, it was written by Vassar Clements and was first recorded by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.







Agreed.
It certainly has very strong Irish/Scotish jig roots, which was more of what I was referring to. Not so much who plays it and who composed it.

songs like that are great for teaching/learning fingering & picking. There are a couple songs like that I learned back when I was taking lessons that I still play.......and amazingly remember how to play! Good, clean fun.
