One of the Canada 150 events in Ottawa this summer is the presence of "La Machine" (La Machine | Ottawa 2017)
I wasn't planning to see it but it appears to be a sort of combination of Mothra-vs-Godzilla and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, as a team of something like 80 people operate, guide, enflame, and produce improvised music for a pair of VERY large mechanical beasts, that will be strolling around the capital and occasionally doing battle.....without the wholesale urban destruction part.
If you were planning to be in Ottawa this weekend, keep your car out of the city center.
