I have a first Gen Fender 5150 50 watt head with the volume jump issue with shared controls. Fender had since released the new version with concentric knobs for separate volume and gain on ch1 and 2.

That runs at about $1365 after taxes.

Or I can get mine modded with a fender dual concentric kit for $90 plus 1.5 to 2hrs bench time. So max $262.00 after tax.

I bought the amp for 700 and could prob sell it for the same.

Does anyone think it's worth paying the +/-400 difference to buy the new amp stock or is it worth it to just get mine modded?

If your warranty is done, do the mod. I'm not sure why you'd spend more to buy the same amp new, unless there were other changes you felt are worth the money.
