you would think so, but I actually love the sound of a middle pickup on its own. best range, lots of meat, not too shrill, strong bottom end. I tend to use the middle pickup on my strat most of allJust so you know, they now have hybrids with dual humbuckers. So if you wanna spring for a hybrid might as well go for the dual bucker one for the added versatility.
I think I'm on the same page with you. The type of music I play tends to gravitate toward the Bridge pups but my favorite tones seem to come from the middle?you would think so, but I actually love the sound of a middle pickup on its own. best range, lots of meat, not too shrill, strong bottom end. Yeah the Michael Kelly has a really nice top, not to mention the inlays, it's a bit over the top for me, but it still looks killer.wow on that closeup shot of the orange one, the flame top looks to be amazing quality considering the price range. Closeups I've seen on PRSs and Gibsons look exactly the same. From what I can tell from the photographs at least, that guitar looks like a steal...Drool
Yep, I'm not really into the whole crazy figured tops thing. Besides solid colors, sunburst is as far as I'll go:smile:.noobcake,
I suppose that you like "simpler" looking guitars too?
I ended up getting the Trans Black Hybrid from the Ebay store you may be talking about which is Canadian! I should receive it today! :banana:There's an ebay dealer who carries alot of Michael Kelly's. Is that where you got yours?
