I won the BYOC pedal and GuitarsCanada mug. I chose to get the pedal assembled for me, so I had to wait a bit to get it. It looks great though, and I am going to put it through it's paces when the house is empty tonight.

The GuitarsCanada mugs are great too. I especially love the huge handle on them.

It is the screamer Overdrive with Mod kit.

It comes with a ton of extra parts and our Pre-build guy, Brian socketed alot of the PCB so you can experiment with different part values etc.

BTW, Torndown, you will need to go onto the BYOC website to have a look at the build instructions PDF in order to figure out what extra part goes where on the PCB.

So glad you are digging it. It really is the ultimate TS when you factor in the Mod kit options.

I got a chance to give it a bit of a test, and it sounds great. I read over the mod sheet, and from the description I can't really imagine I'd want to change anything at this time. But I can see if I get in different playing situations, the mods will come in handy for sure.

As it is, the pedal has a great 'crunch' to it. My last tube screamer was a Maxon OD-9. While it was a fantastic pedal, it had more of the thick overdrive type tone to it. While some people like that, I prefer a little more crunch. The BYOC definitely has that.

It's a very sturdy pedal, but also pretty light weight.
