I had asked around for recommendations for pickups for a 335 I have. Lollar Imperials came up fairly often - I ordered some and just had them put in. They have to be the nicest HBs I have ever heard!

Highly recommended!

I have Lollars in my Nash strat. They're really nice sounding. And the name is fun. I think I'm going to call my guitar sound "Lollar Pop". Haha.

Jason builds fantastic pickups. I have one of his P90 dogears in my Jr and it's fat, clear and wonderful!

I have some of his soapbar P90s in my R4 they are great. Haven't tried his humbuckers because I love my WCRs.

I know how that goes. Now that I've found Jason's HBs it would be difficult for me to try an unknown commodity like WCRs even though they have a great rep.

I found with the Imperials one of the biggest enhancements was the unwound strings really fattened up but still remained clear with a sparkly, singing tone. They weren't that cheap coming into Canada (what is?) but certainly worth the little bit more in expense.
