I was tickled pink to learn this afternoon that my buddy Phil Bova's son Philip Shaw Bova snagged himself a Grammy nomination today for engineering Bahamas' latest album ( Philip Shaw Bova - Mastering and Mixing ). Well done, Phil! He has his own studio, but I'm sure he learned a bunch of tricks from his dad (who I think won a Juno for mastering one of Feist's albums).

I played part time washboard in a jug band with the bassist's father for a while. A family with monster chops and deep folks roots
