I'm going to be in Ottawa on business this week. I have an evening to kill and wouldn't mind finding a bar with some live music on Wednesday evening. I'm staying at the Delta on Lyon St. Walking distance would be nice. I consider Byeward to be the max walking distance. There are a few bars I've been to but none of them had live music. I'm looking for someplace casual where I can sit, relax with a beer, and hear some decent music.

In the Market area or nearby, you can see what is on tap at the Rainbow Bistro, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Babylon, the Mercury Lounge, and Maverick's. Given that students are currently vacating the city or cramming for that last exam, if I was a music-establishment owner I don't know that I'd be springing for top talent on a weekday these days.

If you're desperate, drop me a PM and we can do coffee or something.

Yeah, this is a pretty lame week. There will be somebody playing at the Rainbow on Murray st (about 20 min walk from the Delta) but I don't recall anything too special. Chris Antonik is playing Saturday at the Rainbow, that will be a good show.
