Whose bass was this lovely vintage number?

Sorry James not even close, but the bass belonged to someone more famous and more obvious.

He was and probably still is a star. A bass player, a famous band member and now a bandleader. He is also an author and collector of art. Oh, did I mention that once he had Marc Chagall, the surrealistic painter, as a next door neighbour?

Well, OK then, I will continue .... Who's bass was this beauty? The only clue is that it was made by Ed Roman for this famous, albeit dead, bass legend.

That looks like the John Entwhistle bass I mentioned in the other thread that I did not get a picture of.

Correct to both of you. It was made for John Entwhistle by Ed Roman and is part of his collection that sold recently. I wish I can find some details of that sale but to date I have nothing on the web.

Now, how about someone else posting a famous bass photo.
