It's a personal/guitar/tonality centric opinion so I'd just pick up the gauge you'd like to try and check em out. I've tried a number of different types of string on both electric and acoustic and tend to go back to certain brands and types that sound best for me. Haven't tried the L&M ones yet though.
I use them pretty regularly. The electric strings I use are a dead ringer for GHS strings. I don’t know if they actually are GHS strings, but the gauges are the same.
They’re definitely something rebranded. I originally thought they were D’addario but I haven’t confirmed that.
I heard that Dean Markely may be or may have been the brand that L&M use for the strings. But I really have no way of verifying that.
